As part of our internal AI challenge, we asked the tool to review our outbound emails and meeting transcripts, compare them to our brand promise, and provide personalized coaching.
Overall? I got strong alignment. But then came the growth edge. When it’s time to move a prospect or client to a decision, I could be more direct in my ask. And honestly? That made me laugh. I was born and bred in the South, where hospitality, politeness, and “after you” are practically hard‑wired. Plus, I really hate being pushed to buy or given a hard sell by my own vendors or prospective vendors.
But if you don’t know it’s broken, you can fix it. If becoming a stronger leader means:
- Making the ask
- Being more forceful in guiding the next step
- Being direct instead of overly courteous
…I can put on my big girl leadership pants and do that. 😄. Great opportunity to do a little retail therapy to find some badass new pants to pull on. Anyway, I’m starting to love AI. It can dish out advice without judgment, based on facts. Now I’m the human-in-the-loop to make it happen.
