Navigating the Complexities of a Saw-Tooth Recovery

October 14, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am EDT

The laws of physics tell us that which goes up must come down and that which rises will fall.  What happens, though, when economic recovery is a rapid and varied combination of both highs and lows, ups and downs?

The uncertainty of current events (health, social, political) are, by analysts’ predictions, creating a longer, ‘saw-tooth’ recovery than originally predicted.  Unlike a rapid drop and steady incline (V-shaped recovery), the pattern of the current economic recovery is tumultuous where big gains are followed by small losses and vice versa (Saw-Tooth).  Survival demands a different approach.

This presentation focuses on the nimble nature required for succeeding in a Saw-Tooth recovery.  Gary Applegate, CEO of CenterPoint CFO, will explore the impact and provide real recommendations for navigating this roller coaster ride, including incorporating flexibility into the work force, getting back to fundamentals in all areas of your business, strengthening and possibly retooling relationships with key service providers and using this crisis as an opportunity to strengthen the core values of the business.
