We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect/Engineer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cloud architecture solutions tailored to the unique needs of the healthcare industry. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to select appropriate cloud services, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintain the highest standards of security.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud architecture solutions for healthcare IT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures to ensure security and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement security controls, encryption, and access management mechanisms to protect sensitive healthcare data.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and address them proactively.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our cloud architecture and offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, preferably in the healthcare IT industry.
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data security and privacy requirements, including HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
