As a DevOps Engineer within our Application Development Team, you will play a crucial role in transforming and optimizing our applications for cloud environments while ensuring seamless integration, testing, and deployment processes. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and QA teams to streamline workflows and enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of our healthcare IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Migration and Optimization
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) for healthcare IT applications, ensuring data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including version control, code reviews, and release management.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to automate testing processes and ensure consistent quality across all stages of development and deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, preferably in the healthcare IT industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and proficiency in cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Azure App Service, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
