The Home Health / Hospice Revenue Cycle Specialist supports the optimization, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of revenue cycle and intake-related systems and workflows for Home Health and Hospice services. This role combines strong revenue cycle expertise with technical application support to drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve financial outcomes. The specialist partners with clinical, operational, and IT teams to enhance system performance, streamline intake and billing processes, and support software lifecycle activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Supports full Home Health and Hospice Intake Optimization initiatives.
- Applies Home Health and/or Hospice Revenue Cycle certification knowledge, ideally with emphasis in intake workflows.
- Provides recommendations to optimize processes, improve reimbursement, and reduce operational expenses.
- Performs and documents workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal application use.
- Responsible for day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, including system builds, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Analyzes business and clinical needs to evaluate software releases, patches, and new products.
- Develops system test plans and executes testing for software upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Maintains detailed records of test progress, results, and issue resolution.
- Manages problem, incident, change management, and service requests related to revenue cycle and intake systems.
- Communicates software issues, system requirements, upgrades, and enhancement opportunities to stakeholders.
- Coordinates implementation and project planning activities related to software application releases.
- Works within cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business, clinical, and technical requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Home Health Revenue Cycle and/or Hospice Revenue Cycle Certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Home Health and Hospice intake processes strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting revenue cycle or clinical software applications.
- Strong understanding of healthcare business operations, clinical workflows, and application functionality.
- Experience with system testing, documentation, and workflow analysis.
- Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
