Intellect Resources is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective management and operation of the PACS system, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility of digital imaging and related data across our healthcare network. This role is pivotal in supporting our clinical teams by providing seamless access to imaging data, which is critical for timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the PACS system to ensure efficient capture, distribution, and storage of radiographic images and related data.
  • Work closely with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the system meets clinical requirements and improves patient outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any PACS-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain data integrity and security.
  • Implement system updates and upgrades in collaboration with IT specialists, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services.
  • Provide training and support to new users and continually educate existing users on new features and functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including operational manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external support teams to ensure that the PACS equipment and software are up-to-date.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss system improvements and integrate feedback into system enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Radiologic Technology, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with PACS, RIS (Radiology Information System), and DICOM standards.
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging processes and workflow in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
